The Power to Make a Difference:
More than a thousand people are killed and tens of thousands injured each year in electrical accidents and fires. The vast majority of electrical accidents can be prevented if people understand the dangers and steps they can take to be safe around electricity. EEC’s Safe Electricity program is a unified industry effort to promote electrical safety through comprehensive public outreach and education, thus reducing accidents and mitigating risk.
EEC’s strong commitment to energy awareness ranges from youth education to residential and business consumers and the energy industry that serves them. EEC members work collaboratively on the vital issues of electrical safety, energy efficiency, renewable energies, and youth education.
More than 400 electric utilities along with energy-related businesses, organizations, and educators take part of this endeavor as EEC members. Won’t you join us? Help EEC provide life-saving, energy-saving, and cost-saving information. Join us and help others.
Types of Membership:
- Utility Membership—Utility membership cost is very affordable and is generally based on utility size. Our collaborative approach provides each utility member with a powerful multi-media safety and efficiency awareness and education program to add to their own efforts—all at a fraction of the cost to produce these materials independently. Join the hundreds of utilities who actively demonstrate their commitment to consumer education and empowerment through EEC. Membership entitles a utility to receive materials created and distributed throughout the year with timely, targeted safety and efficiency messages, including:
- Associate/Affiliate Membership (Non-Utility) and Sponsorship Opportunities—Associate/Affiliate membership as well as sponsorship opportunities provide non-utility businesses, educational institutions, and individuals who share our mission the opportunity to network and be part of our diverse and dynamic organization. We welcome you to join in this effort—working with utilities and other energy service providers to make a powerful difference!
