Safe Electricity Utility MembershipThe award-winning Safe Electricity program was created by the Energy Education Council, a not-for-profit industry forum operating from within University of Illinois Extension, leveraging the common interest and strong commitment within the electric industry and educators to promote electrical safety. By bringing together the resources of electric utilities, a premier educational institution, and other organizations that share a common safety interest, a unique high-quality public awareness program has been created, and continues to grow. This collaborative approach provides each utility member with a powerful safety awareness and educational program to add to their own efforts at a fraction of the cost to go it alone. Powerful OutreachSafe Electricity's multi-faceted public awareness program is designed to compliment the existing safety education activities of electricity providers and educators.
